Sourcing Activity: Technical / Engineering related:
Review technical specification and mechanical drawings from Engineering. Understand and communicate these requirements and associated risks to suppliers and team members including purchasing, plant quality and program management. Provide technical feedback to Engineering on the manufacturability of the mechanical design and assist with design solutions to problems such as, design to manufacturing issues, validation failure issues, reliability analysis, product quality assurance strategies.
Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) activity:
Project details, supplier team members, Vitesco Technologies team members, APQP timing plan, APQP deliverables including but not limited to first of tool (FOT), PPAP and other samples, PPAP (production part approval process) documents, lessons learned and safe launch plans will be detailed. The level of risk and appropriate recommended actions are determined by the QAS using his/her extensive experience and knowledge in all of the disciplines mentioned. The QAS will need to work closely with suppliers to provide corrective actions to deviations when necessary. This may require advanced problem solving activities that will either be lead by the QAS or overseen by the QAS.
Knowledge of APQP core tools will be required.
PPAP (production part approval process)
All purchased components suppliers will provide a PPAP submission per AIAG PPAP and Vitesco Technologies standards. QAS is responsible to define the appropriate PPAP submission level based on the risk evaluations described in this document. QAS is responsible to review, provide feedback for corrections, follow up and approve the PPAP package.
Supplier production line Sign off, Run at Rate (R@R)
QAS is responsible to lead the activities associated with production line approval.
New Supplier Audits, Escalation Audits, Maintenance audits, Problem solving
QAS will use his/her VDA 6.3 certification or knowledge to support these audits.
Work with company provided tools and software.
Functional knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, SAP, and a variety of web based software.
Min 3 years Quality Experience
Min 5 years Automotive Experience
